We went to the DMV Asian market at Fair Oaks Mall today. The kids and my wife got bao buns and boba, I got Thai moo ping and gai yang (meat skewers), and my daughter and I got Thai iced tea.
The girls also got to do some shopping and they entertained themselves by constantly holding up bras and other women's clothing to see how it would look on me. #GirlDad
It was a fun day.

We're going into our 3rd hour of watching Ellie compete in the National Cheerleaders Association cheer camp at Lindenwood University. The life of a girl dad.
I'll be inspecting our bees after lunch. Looking forward to seeing what's going on there.

Hello everyone! Hope you're all doing well. It was another hot day here in Wisconsin but we had a blast. We spent a few hours at the indoor/outdoor pools then cleaned up and drove into the Wisconsin Dells town. Our resort is actually in Lake Dalton. We walked main street and ended up getting some permanent jewelry done. Ellie a gold heart anklet and me a Cuban link bracelet in silver. Then another 3 hours in the pool. Pretty fun times but tiring.

Aww, thank you friend! I look at it every day, on my way out the door, and it helps to remind me who and what I'm fighting for. That there are good people out there, even if it doesn't seem like it on my morning commute. It is truly my pleasure and honor to have your #art in my home.
Bonus point is that it reminds this #GirlDad of the divine feminine that I seek to connect with everyday as a counter to the toxic masculinity we are surrounded by.

Tired of activists saying they first got involved with the #climate movement because of having kids or grandkids. It's giving the same energy as a father who suddenly becomes a #feminist because he is a #girldad. Not saying that's bad, btw, we need all the hearts and minds compassionate enough to change broken systems, but it insinuates that the childless (and youth themselves!) don't have a reason for caring for the #earth. Not everything is about your genetic legacy, Brandon. /rant over

At some point my 7yo Daughter's favourite song was pink pony club by Chappel Roan so then naturally the youtube music algorithm feeds me more of the same.
I am straight white father of girls and honestly I am totally here for her songs of lesbian misadventures, they're fun bangers. Sure the 10 year old has questions from some of the lyrics, but its a healthy conversation to have

My daughter and I have started a wee nightly skin care routine because I wanted to tackle the dark circles under my eyes.
She's got pink Sakura/Japanese creams, toner etc. and I've got blue Nivea stuff and a white caffeine eye serum.She's so cute. She puts the stuff on me and sometimes gives me a wee facial massage.
Being a #GirlDad is the best.

Ellie and I just sat down to watch "Wicked: For Good" at Arnold Marcus Theater. We're trying to do a few activities a month one on one. I spent too many years working too many hours. Better to build a good relationship now then be ignored when she's an adult and on her own.
