This song came out in 2003 and now there's suddenly an official music video for it. It's been 22 years, this is crazy
月追う彼方 (Tsuki Ou Kanata) sounds so much like Girls Dead Monster, I'm almost convinced this world is created by Maeda Jun (the members even look like anime protagonists)
Lucie,Too is suburban, escape-from-the-city type of rock. Harsh and bright like city lights, with open starless skies.
Oh lol, I'm posting #girlbands all week and now I find out about #musicwomenwednesday
Tokyo Syoki Syodo is music! And women! And wednesday! (Well, "it" is wednesday.)
Tokyo Syoki Syodo (Tokyo Initial Impulse) is one of many examples of the vibrant state of Tokyo's music scene. Anywhere else they would outgrow their hometown or wither out, but in Tokyo you can stay like this forever.
らそんぶる (rassemble) is on the boundary of rock and pop, with playful vocals and melodic guitar solos. They're only missing the rich blonde girl with pickle eyebrows on the keyboard.
Unfair Rule is actually fairly big, with three albums in two years and multiple music videos.
They can use a bit of publicity outside of Japan though.
Happy vocals, carefree shredding, the spirit of rural Japan.
So girl bands. Bluegoats is a girl band, right? Turns out they're more like an idol group, but don't let that stop you from enjoying some energetic rock.
Was planning to start this series with Japanese bands, but I make the rules. Maybe the theme is going to be girl bands instead?
Loupe is indie rock from Amsterdam. Dreamy vocals, catchy rhythms, playful melodies.

Walk Like an Egyptian - #TheBangles (September 1986).
The #song was #banned by both #BBC in 1991 & #ClearChannelCommunications in 2001. The purpose of this was to avoid offending those who would relate this song & its references to #Egypt to the conflicts in the #MiddleEast.

All Saints’ “Never Ever” playing in Donaghmede Shopping Centre’s mall rn. “Overload” by Sugababes was on earlier in Woodies, Coolock. Some kind of turn-of-the-century retro-zeitgeist.

In the early 90s, my friend, Jen N, worked at #A&BSound in downtown #VictoriaBC & she introduced me to so much amazing music! One of those was #ShonenKnife - they toured here, back then. I loved them, after she introduced their sounds to me🎶❤🎸
