Today @royreed.bsky.social and I got our advance author copies of 'London's Ghost Signs', the reissue of our 2021 book, 'Ghost Signs: A London Story'.
Our new publisher, Metro, has done a great job of reproducing all the original content (with updates) in the new compact format, and the book goes on general sale in October/November.

I‘m convinced that my cat defended me from a demon or ghost or some other inter dimensional being tonight. When I got to bed shortly after 1 am I turned off the lights and he jumped onto my bed and after a while I felt his body shifting or he let himself fall over and suddenly hissed at something in the dark and was immediately quiet after and lied down beside me. Thanks Rune.

Nice to see a council appreciating a local ghost signs, and commissioning a contemporary mural that recognises it.

Can anyone confirm that this ghost sign is for the French Vabé brand, owned by Byrrh?

I can't make out all of the slogan in yellow, but the 'Catalan' line would fit with Rivesaltes, where Vabé originates from, which is just north of Perpignan, and therefore in French Catalonia.
