"The #CukermansGateFoundation was established on March 10, 2009, in order to preserve the #synagogue of #Bedzin.
In 2024, the foundation gained ownership of the Bedzin #GhettoFightersHouse, where a local branch of the #JewishCombatOrganization (formed in 1941 on the advice of #MordechaiAnielewicz, who later fought and was most likely killed during the #WarsawGhettouprising), fought back against the #Nazis ahead of the #ghetto's liquidation in August 1943.
The #Będzinuprising was led by 29-year-old #FrumkaPłotnicka, who had only weeks earlier fought in the #WarsawGhetto uprising.
All of those who fought at the house were killed by the Nazis, and as soon as the uprising ended, the remaining #Jewish residents were taken to #Auschwitz."

Forschende des Projekts #LastSeen | Freie Universität Berlin und KZ-Gedenkstätte Neuengamme / Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial konnten drei Fotografien identifizieren. Sie zeigen die Verschleppung von über 1.000 jüdischen Hamburger:innen ins Ghetto Litzmannstadt im Oktober 1941.

a #SingleStateSolution, i.e. absorption of #PalestinianTerritories into a singular #GrossIsrael, has (by my math) a hitch.
Any remaining Palestinians in this new Israel, now no longer in an #apartheid separation #ghetto, become defacto Israeli citizens under current Israeli law.
This would change the demographics into a majority Muslim nation, if equal rights were given to these new citizens.
Hard to imagine.

The former #JewishQuarter of #Warsaw is no longer in existence…action was terminated at 20:15 hours by blowing up the Warsaw #Synagogue…Total number of Jews dealt with 56,065, including both Jews caught and Jews whose extermination can be proved…Apart from 8 buildings…the former #Ghetto is completely destroyed. Only the dividing walls are left standing where no explosions were carried out."

Wie viele Städte hatte auch Riga ein Ghetto, in dem die jüdische Gemeinschaft eingepfercht war.
Das Museum befindet sich gleich hinter den berühmten Zeppelin Markthallen.
'Beklemmend' reicht nicht aus, um die Gefühlswelten zu beschreiben. Wissend, was da gerade in den USA passiert und hier in D und auch in Europa eingeleitet werden soll bzw. wird.
