🇬🇧 Today is a shopping Sunday (normally in Poland all stores are closed), so my girls (wife and daughter) went shopping, and I decided to install the new #Ubuntu 24.04 LTS on my #Getac for special tasks 😎

I found a used keyboard with backlight to upgrade my #Getac

I finally installed #openBSD on my #Getac V110 G2. No worries during installation, it works pretty well. But there are still some problems with battery management and touchpad buttons.

No estimate of battery life percentage
Drag Click don’t seem to work (can’t move cursor while pressing the button).
This is not a big issue for me because I use Stumpwm 😅

For normal use I will switch back to my main SSD canister and its Arch Linux setup 😇

My #Getac V110 G2 is happy running @EndeavourOS … fully customized using #ratpoison window manager.
The virtual desktops help some to do a lot from not so big / not high resolution screen.
I doubled the RAM (16GB now) and the SSD (2x 500GB), this help some this little rugged i5 😇

I adopted a new machine : a #Getac V110 G2 : i5/8GB RAM/500GB.
Used, but very few (a little more than 300 hours only), was owned by an old man and never had outdoor activity with it.
I already reformatted all and installed Linux @EndeavourOS : look like all is working fine.
