Projektstart im #CEWS: GendAReview – Blicke der Geschlechterforschung auf Wissenschaft und Hochschulen 🎉

Am 1. Dezember 2024 ist das Projekt GendAReview im Team CEWS bei #GESIS gestartet. Das Projekt wird vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung gefördert und ist auf 15 Monate angelegt. Projektbeteiligte unseres Teams sind Anke Lipinsky, Lena Weber, Nina Steinweg und Melek Meltem Yalçin.

Heute ist #OrangeDay.

In der Wissenschaftslandschaft muss sich jeder und jede frei und sicher fühlen können. Deshalb fördern wir Forschung, die zeigt, wie groß das Problem von Diskriminierung, sexueller Belästigung und Gewalt im Wissenschaftsbetrieb wirklich ist. Der Internationale Tag zur Beendigung der Gewalt gegen Frauen läutet seit 1991 die United Nations-Kampagne #OrangetheWorld ein.

Online-Nachrichtenkonsum und politische Überzeugungen: Eine Analyse

Eine GESIS-Studie zeigt: Menschen konsumieren bevorzugt Nachrichten, die ihrer politischen Überzeugung entsprechen.

Besonders in den USA nutzen konservative Personen vermehrt rechtsgerichtete Medien wie Fox News.

Diese selektive Wahrnehmung könnte die politische Spaltung weiter verschärfen.

Next was a short talk by Qiwei He on problem solving behavioral consistency at #GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Science.
