Die Ernährung der Welt ist – am meisten – durch ökonomische Machtkonzentration bedroht
In Deutschland wird viel über die UNO gewettert. Anders als die EU macht die nicht auf Kommando, was die Bundesregierung will. Zu Beginn eines Zivildienstes in der Beueler Herrmannstrasse verurteilten die dort die deutsche Bundesregierung (damals: SPD/FDP) namentlich für ihre militärische Zusammenarbeit mit dem rassistischen südafrikanischen Apartheidregime. Und das Presse- und Informationsamt der Bundesregierung hatte alle Hände voll zu tun, die deutschen Medien – Internet gabs ja nicht – von einer Berichterstattung abzuhalten. Hat geklappt. Aber ich schweife ab.
Das OHCHR (“Office of the High Commissioner Human Rights”) hat herausgefunden, was die globale Slowfood-Bewegung schon seit Jahrzehnten attackiert.
Die Kollegen von German Foreign Policy, die das in einigen Tagen in einem Paywall-Archiv vergraben, bieten dazu für wenige Tage eine deutschsprachige zusammenfassende Berichterstattung: “Die Tribute von Big Agro – Der UN-Sonderberichterstatter für das Recht auf Nahrung sieht durch die zunehmende Konzentration von Konzernmacht im Lebensmittelsektor die Versorgungssicherheit gefährdet – auch durch deutsche Unternehmen.”
Dann bin ich mal gespannt, welches deutschsprachige Medium sonst noch berichten wird. Und wie weit der Fortschritt deutscher Informations- und Pressefreiheit also seit 1976 gediehen ist …
