  1. Death In A Red Jaguar (1968), a German Jerry Cotton crime thriller. Jerry has to deal with a Murder Inc type gang. Fast-moving, suspenseful, action-packed, shot with flair. The opening sequence is peak 60s German pop cinema. Superb pulp movie.

  2. Castle of the Creeping Flesh (1968) is an enjoyable German eurohorror film falling into the gothic horror in a contemporary setting sub-genre, with added decadence and lots of weirdness. It's also sleazy and includes a guy-in-a-bear-suit.

  3. The Treasure of the Silver Lake (1962) is a German western based on a Karl May novel (May was and is a pop culture icon in Germany). An entertaining treasure hunt western with Herbert Lom as a very nasty outlaw. Visually impressive.

  8. The Curse of the Hidden Vault (1964) is a typical early Rialto Edgar Wallace krimi. In other words it's hugely entertaining. Some good plot twists and visually impressive and imaginative, especially the wonderful hidden vault complex sets. Plus, Klaus Kinski!

  9. The Hound of Blackwood Castle (1968), one of the later colour German Rialto Edgar Wallace krimis, with a bit of a Hound of the Baskervilles vibe this time. A visual delight, with the gothic trappings laid on extra thick. Hugely enjoyable.

  10. The Man with the Glass Eye (1969) is a late entry in Rialto's German Edgar Wallace krimi cycle. Maybe not the equal of the classic early krimis (and with a bit more blood) but rather enjoyable with some nice slightly surreal touches.

  12. The Red Circle (1960), the second of Rialto's German Edgar Wallace krimis. There's a blackmail racket, a question of inheritance, a sexy bad girl and lots of murders. Well-paced, well-crafted, stylish and wildly and deliriously entertaining.

  17. So just did a thing and uploaded a slideshow to YouTube with posters, lobby cards and promotional images for the Rialto Edgar Wallace Krimi DER HEXER aka THE MYSTERIOUS MAGICIAN based on Wallace's novel THE RINGER.

Hope you like. I may do more along those lines sometime in the future.

  18. The Black Abbot (Der schwarze Abt), a 1963 entry in the West German Edgar Wallace krimi film series.

The story has all the classic Edgar Wallace ingredients, mixed to perfection. There are possibly ghosts, there’s the mysterious Black Abbot. And countless secret passageways. Lots of double-crosses. Greed and madness. There’s love and lust. And an ancient map which could reveal a treasure’s location.
