#Österreich, die #Schweiz und #Deutschland verzeichnen bereits massive Erwärmungen von 2,3 bis 2,9 Grad über vorindustriellem Niveau.

Diese Entwicklung führt zu mehr Hitzetagen, Starkregenereignissen und #Dürreperioden.

Heute war Marc Olefs von #Geosphere Austria bei Armin Wolf in der #ZIB2, viele deutliche Worte die hoffentlich auf viele offene Ohren stoßen, u.a.:

"[...] wir sehen auch in der lanfristigen Entwicklung, dass die extremen Mehrtagesniederschläge in NÖ/W/OÖ um bis zu 20% langfristig gesehen zugenommen haben, steht also in einem klaren Zusammenhang mit der Erderhitzung und dem menschgemachten Klimawandel [...]"

Vb-Wetterlagen reagieren auf Klimaerwärmung

Marc Olefs, Leiter der Klima-Folgen-Forschung an der #GeoSphere Austria: „Die Zahl der Vb-Wetterlagen schwankt stark, in den letzten Jahrzehnten gibt es keinen eindeutigen Trend in der Häufigkeit. Aber: Die 50 stärksten Niederschlagsereignisse in Zusammenhang mit #Vb Wetterlagen in den letzten Jahrzehnten zeigen einen Anstieg der Niederschlagssumme am Alpennordrand von rund 20% bei einer Zunahme der Häufigkeit von 13%.

Warnung vor Starkregen

#Wetterwarnung der #GeoSphere Austria: In der Nacht auf Samstag und am Samstag selbst im Großteil #Österreichs Regen, zeitweise auch stark. Besonders im Süden sind weitere Überschwemmungen und Murenabgänge zu erwarten.

Ein Tiefdruckgebiet über Oberitalien steuert von Süden her feuchte Luft nach Österreich. In der Nacht auf Samstag und am Samstag tagsüber regnet es in vielen Region. Der Regen kann über längere Zeit anhalten und auch stark sein.

Die Ursachen der Gewitterfronten

Die Wetterlagen mit #Unwetter'potenzial werden mehr, hat schon 2020 eine Untersuchung der #GeoSphere Austria ergeben. Seit den 2000er Jahren ist ein deutlicher Anstieg um 30 bis 50 % erkennbar, vor allem im Süden und Osten #Europa's. In #Österreich liegt die Zunahme des Gewitterpotenzials seit den 2000er Jahren bei etwa 20 %. Dies kann mit der #Klimaerwärmung in einen physikalischen Zusammenhang bringen.

"Die erste Prüfung der Messdaten durch die #GeoSphere #Austria bestätigt: 15,7 Grad am 11. Juli 2023 ist ein neuer Wärmerekord für das Sonnblick #Observatorium (3109 Meter Seehöhe). Gemessen wird hier seit 1886."

"Zum Vergleich: In einem durchschnittlichen #Juli lag die #Höchsttemperatur am Sonnblick im Zeitraum 1991 bis 2020 bei 6,0 Grad und im Zeitraum 1961 bis 1990 bei 4,2 Grad“."

"Seit dem Messbeginn am Sonnblick Observatorium im Jahr 1886 war das erst das fünfte Mal, dass die 15-Grad-Marke erreicht wurde. [...]

Der bisherige Wärmerekord am Sonnblick stammte mit 15,3 Grad vom 30. Juni 2012. Im Juni 2023 wurden 15,1 Grad gemessen und im August 1992 sowie im Juli 1983 waren es 15,0 Grad."
