Georgism and property theory contradict anti-taxation views. Land services and natural resources aren’t the fruits of anyone’s labor, but their use is a negative fruits of everyone’s labor. Taxation compensates for these liabilities everyone has.

Economists use efficiency criteria to judge capitalism, but I question those criteria. A system isn’t efficient if it doesn’t distribute its gains broadly.

The imperialist, by taking them without appropriating a liability to the community to which they belong, denies people's equal claim to them. Under #capitalism, the employer appropriates the positive and negative fruits of the workers' labor leading to a denial of the norm on which property is supposed to rest namely getting the positive and negative fruits of your labor

@MikeDunnAuthor I agree. We should also emphasize that the funding for it should come from a 100% land value tax on landlords. It should be emphasized that land is not the fruits of anyone's labor, so landlord have no right to this value

@captainrob @scottsantens Taxing 100% of land value and using it to fund the UBI would fix this. #LVT cannot be passed on to tenants due to land's inelastic supply. This policy essentially makes land collectively-owned, so moves us in a #postcapitalist direction.
