Prior to 2011 it was believed that “Robinson Crusoe” (1902)🇫🇷 was a mostly lost film as only a few scenes had ever been found intact. A copy of the entire film was then donated to The Cinémathèque Française film archive in Paris where it was restored

“The Devil in a Convent” (1899) was considered lost until it was discovered by Cinémathèque Basque in 2010. It was part of a set of films originally found in a garbage bin by the donor in the mid90s.
