"Let's Hear It for the Boy" is a song by #DenieceWilliams that appeared on #theSoundtrack to the feature film #Footloose. The song was released as a single from both the soundtrack and her album of the song's same name released on #ColumbiaRecords. It was written by #TomSnow and #DeanPitchford and produced by #GeorgeDuke. The song became Williams' second number one on the US #Billboard Hot 100 on May 26, 1984. It also topped Billboard's #dance and #RAndB charts.

Also rather fun when you hear a song (in this case, Stratus) and realize that the very distinctive bass line, drums, and guitar were sampled by someone…here, Massive Attack’s Safe From Harm.

For less-than no reason, the theme song from the 1990's animated series #GoofTroop popped into my head. Even not having heard the song in well over a decade, it struck me in my thoughts:
"Was the singer of the Goof Troop theme actually an incredible vocalist?"
I listened to it. He WAS an incredible vocalist! But WHO is it?
I looked it up, and the vocalist in question is #PhilPerry - here he is performing with #GeorgeDuke at #Montreaux.
The control Perry has over his voice is humbling. He has fantastic pitch and as importantly, dynamic. This man is IMPRESSIVE. I can't believe I'd never heard of him.
