to each his own, of course, but I really loved Schroedinger's Kitten, and the whole ensemble of stories collected in Budayeen Nights. I actually enjoy the ways that the *real* world gets twisted around in speculative fiction and in magical realism. but sure, some of the plot points are way out implausible.
