And so it was time. Off we went for some well-deserved chatter, networking and laughter over a couple of geo-cold ones. You can't beat it!
Thanks again to everyone for coming, and looking forward to seeing you all soon at the next #geomobLX.

We celebrated #GISDay with not one, but two Geomob events. A #geomobBER, but also a #geomobLX in the heart of the Portuguese capital.
Thanks as always to Startup Lisboa for opening your doors late to the community, and to our organisers @doublebyte and Miguel Marques for hosting such a wonderful evening.

@doublebyte @luis_de_sousa And that was that! A really fun and dynamic evening in Lisbon. Thank you to everyone who made the effort to turn up in the rain, and we look forward to the next #geomobLX. Keep an eye on the Geomob site for information regarding our next event.

@doublebyte @luis_de_sousa The fourth talk of the evening came from José Miguel Cordero Carvacho, a #geomobLX first-timer! He presented his intriguing research project Prompt2Map, a wide-scale attempt to use chat-powered LLMs for map generation.
Whilst in its nascent stages, it's not hard to imagine how this could have a huge impact on cartography in the coming years!

Despite the weather's best attempts to derail our Geomob yesterday in the Portuguese capital, #geomobLX was a success! A huge thank you to StartUp Lisboa for sheltering us from the bitter wind and rain, and our organisers @doublebyte and Miguel Marques for putting on a wonderful evening.
