4/ 3rd speaker was Geomob regular Dennis Bauszus explains precisely what OSGeo @osgeo is, what the organisation does, and how people can get involved.

4/ Alper Dinçer then spoke about DuckDB and how it can specifically be used for managing the "Data Tsunami" we are now facing.

The sheer volume of data, for example in analysis of things like climate, necessitates new tools and techniques

3/ Next up we heard from Andy Coote about the need for the geospatial industry to better develop the "soft skills" like management and communication skills in young talent. Specifically he and others have now developed "The Geospatial Leadership Certificate" and online training course

2/ First speaker was Siobhan Ryan with a fantastic talk about testing AI services to see if they could find New Zealand 🇳🇿

She put the AIs to the test, with only partial success. A serious talk very amusingly delivered, all about the challenges of relying on AI for geospatial. 👏👏👏👏
