We've been refraining from talking about this #MiamiTower destruction on Fedi, which is wrong.When the #GrenfellTowers burned, we were heavy on #UK and the dodgy #gentrifiers, that created the situation.
From what we can tell, this event could have been avoided. It seems a criminally negligent case of #gentrifyAndForget.
Their motto seems to be pocket the gains, socialize the losses.

You'd have thought that post-COVID, govts would know better than to indulge the #gentrifiers, #rentSeekers, and #speculators, but no.At least in #Australia the #oligarchs are marching ahead with their destructive, #highrise third-worldisation process.

We need to destroy the #corporateWelfare #cantillionaires.Prison for #gentrifiers also. Anyone that has invested in the #construction of a #highrise since March 2020, needs to go directly to jail.
They can do a #WarOnDrugs. We say its time for a #WarOnOverdevelopers is needed.

Its not just the hoarding that robs people. Inflation via #moneyPrinting and #monopoly power are arguably much much worse.The #corporateWelfare allows #bigBusiness to write laws that suit them also. For example, in #Australia #dodgyDevelopers are given billions of effectively #freeMoney from banks (and foreign oligarchs) to destroy entire neighbourhoods and replace them with #highrise hellholes. Govt rewrite laws to allow localities to be destroyed.
