This week's #JukeboxFridayNight theme is #GenreBender and there seems to be a few approaches to this. Some are going with covers of songs that are a totally different genre to the original and others are going with bands/artists who have came along and mashed a couple of genres together and created something new/cool . For this #JukeboxFridayNight the theme is #GenreBender , where waters of different music rivers finally meet in the ocean of sound.

So, there is this collaboration between PhaseOne and Northlane, which gave birth to this peculiar mix of dubstep and metalcore.

Mick Collins and co. were among the best of the turn-of-the century garage rock explosion. Their mix of soul and R&B with the usual dirty, lo-fi rock n' roll set them apart. All their albums are great, but this is from my personal favorite, "Ultraglide in Black."

For the #GenreBender theme for #JukeboxFridayNight here's a #Metallica tune given the lounge treatment by a band we've seen play in a private gig in London before, simply because they were good friends of friends of ours (and of @mathzy too). These are The Lounge Kittens, who've played at Download and the Isle of Wight festival (and others), opened for Limp Bizkit, toured with Steel Panther, and much more.
