I just went down a rabbit hole to find the origin of a phrase in a Japanese light novel I'm reading: 「ただ才あらば用いる」 ≈ 「ただ才のみ是れ挙げよ」 ≈ 唯才是舉. Apparently it is a Chinese idiom promoting meritocracy from a general named Cao Cao from 210 AD. Literally, it means “Only promote if there is talent.” #RealistHero #GenKoku #anime https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VVYhXfAbK0

This was a stray thought I had while reading How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom when the MC is asked by a world superpower if he wants an invading country's leader's head as compensation. MC, who was an aspiring Japanese civil servant before being summoned to sword and fantasy world, insisted on monetary damages. #GenKoku https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_a_Realist_Hero_Rebuilt_the_Kingdom
The situation triggered some #OpeningArguments memories in which specific performance and monetary damages came up during #T3BE bar exam questions.

Today's #AniAnimal is this dog representing Aisha Udgard from "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom Part 2".
It appears during a cutaway to emphasize Aisha's dog-like loyalty.今日の #アニアニマル は『現実主義勇者の王国再建記 第二部』のアイシャ・ウドガルドを代表するこの犬。
