I'm having a friend and their partner over for a New Years Eve filled with pizza and weed. I'm really anxious. I don't have people in my apartment much, and I wasn't able to clean and organize as much as I wanted to. I tried to spread it out over a few days, but my pain has been much worse lately. Over the years I've been prescribed adderall and concerta. But they both triggered my anxiety.

Now, my medications are perfect with my anxiety/depression. I've been maintaining for awhile now.

My ADHD is a pain in the ass and I think now is a good time to explore meds again.

But I worry. With the meds I take now if it'll just trigger anxiety again.

Anyone else deal with this? What do you do?

Browsing for service dog patches to temporarily quiet my awful mind. I found one of my retired service dog’s old capes (it attaches to a harness), and it surprisingly fits Ellie despite their difference in size. I was hoping to buy a cape eventually, but they are expensive, so that was a nice surprise. It’s my birthday, and I feel weird. It feels like every year, I get more anxious and reclusive. I can’t even handle going out for dinner anymore. My dad is bringing takeout. Sigh. I’m so tired. I tried to fall asleep for over 3 hours, and eventually gave up. Now I have to stay awake until at least 10 PM or I’ll mess up my sleep even worse. I have my psych appt in about 2.5 hours, and I’m super anxious about it. I really feel that I need some sort of medication adjustment, but I’m not sure if that will happen since I had one not super long ago.
