    'Twenty years after the index was first introduced, the global #gendergap stands at 69.2% closed. Among the constant sample of 97 #economies, #genderparity has improved by +5.2 percentage points since 2006, reaching its highest level to date of 69.4%.

    Looking at the constant set of economies included in both this year’s and last year’s editions, the global gender gap closed by 0.4 percentage points in 2026, from 68.8% in 2025 to 69.2% in 2026.'
