A friend's kid, looking at my ponny tail hairstyle, asked the mom...
'Is that person a boy or a girl?'
The mom took the question as an opportunity to introduce to the child to the idea that #genderConformity is not a necessity... Boys can have long hair and girls can have short hair... The mom's sister went on to show the kid her own pic from when she had really short hair...
