Finally finished #Gears5 on #GamePass. Visuals, sound, performance, pacing, and gunplay, everything very solid, but characters, narrative, and world building... oh boy. There seems to be a story, but I didn't get it. Something with war and aliens, apparently on some planet, I guess.

But when you're a sitting duck on a slowly moving platform that takes at least two minutes to get into its destination, with checkpoint being before this platform starts moving AND with Jack's primary ability being disabled...
