You know what’s the opposite of lembas bread? #Filinchen. It was #EastGermany’s response to #CrispBread and you can still buy it today. It’s super light and not filling at all. You could eat a whole pack and still be hungry.
I’m not saying it isn’t good, it’s more like it doesn’t even exist! It just adds crispness to its topping. It feels like eating crispy jam.

Mathematics, Girls, Socialism, and Capitalism
In their 2018 study “Math, Girls and Socialism,” authors Claude Senik and Quentin Lippmann analyzed the impact of the socialist regime in East Germany on gender differences in math achievement, using data from the former GDR and FRG.
The study showed that girls who grew up in the GDR scored higher in mathematics than girls from the FRG, based on data from 2003.
In the GDR, girls rated their math skills on par with boys, while in the FRG, girls rated their abilities lower than those of the opposite sex. Girls from the GDR also had a more positive attitude towards mathematics, greater confidence in their abilities, and experienced less stress when solving mathematical problems.
However, this situation is not unique to Germany. An analysis of PISA data for Europe showed that girls from former socialist countries (e.g., Poland, Czech Republic) perform better in mathematics than girls from capitalist countries, with the gender gap in mathematics being smaller or even non-existent in the former socialist bloc countries. Socialist countries had more female chess players and also sent more girls to math competitions.

The Consecration of a Lodge usually happens just once, when the Lodge is first opened officially by their Grand Master, and the Charter of the Lodge is handed over as recognition that this new Lodge is Just and Regular.
In East Germany, in the early Nineties, many Lodges forced to close by the National Socialists were re-opened and Consecrated once more, allowing them to work after almost fifty years of darkness.

Dunque per colpa dei Critical Role e di The Mighty Nein (e quindi di @[email protected]) mi è tornata una mezza voglia di sperimentare con D&D e VTT - (Icewind Dale a parte ovviamente :meowUwu:)
ieri ho notato che il celeberrimo Fantasy Grounds è diventato gratuito su Steam e, anche se non mi ci sono mai davvero trovato, ho deciso di provarlo un po' meglio comprandomi il classico starter della quinta edizione (Lost Mine of Phandelver , ci sarebbe pure Heroes of the Borderlands che è nuovo nuovo ma mi pareva un pelo troppo sandbox)
Farò un po' di esperimenti in solitaria per prenderci la mano perché Foundry mi pare fin troppo cicciotto, ma anche qui a livello di ottimizzazione e leggibilità ho qualche remora (però il tracker dei combattimenti e del party è molto figo)

I have been lucky enough to explore many ballrooms across the former German Democratic Republic (GDR). At the turn of the 20th century, every town seems to have had one! Ballrooms played a crucial role in the community, serving as a hub for gatherings and socialising. These entertainment venues were popular right up until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

During the GDR era, the #Berlin #district of #Kreuzberg developed into a hotspot for the #party and #art #scene: especially its area #SO36 that was surrounded by three border zones with the #GDR, forming a peninsula. A diverse #culturallife arose, persisting to this day. The musical "#Linie1" refers to the #UBahn line through SO36.

#Lowmoor #meadows are mostly characterized by a high nitrogen supply, a high #groundwater level, the presence of #peatlayers, and, in case of #nutrientrich ones, also by high #biodiversity. The low moor meadows along #TegelerFließ near Lake Köppchensee in #Berlin were located in the border region during the #GDR era and partly inaccessible, providing good protection.

Ein Prüfstand für Kompressoren wie sie in Kühlschränken eingesetzt werden/wurden. Aufgenommen beim Ehemaligen VEB #DKK #Scharfenstein im #Erzgebirge. Die Gebäude in den sich dieser Aufbau befand gibt es heute nicht mehr, genauso wie den Betrieb an sich.
