I have just spent three anxious days trying to get my ID verified for a loan. The check kept bouncing at the lender’s on my driver’s license.
I finally offered to use a passport, which fortunately worked. However, when I got to do the verification check myself, I thought I’d try to see what was happening with the Driver’s License, so I tried it out first.
tl;dr: the “MIDDLE NAMES” field is required to be no more than 20 characters. I have three middle names, totalling 23 characters. This is why it didn’t work, as the names were fine on my ID documents but, I guess, could never match the truncated data.
I also note that the lender, presumably using a UI from GBG, was not informed of that limitation, and was therefore in the dark as to why the check was failing.

"Great bustard nests have been found for the first time on #CranborneChase.
"This week, Cranborne Chase Landscape Trust confirmed that bustard chicks had been found in the designated National Landscape last May.
"The #bustard - the world's heaviest flying bird - was hunted to extinction in the 19th century, but the species was secretly reintroduced to #Wiltshire in 1998 using chicks from Russia.
"The two new nests were found in a field of sainfoin north of the Wylyle Valley, after a farmer informed the Great Bustard Group (#GBG) that he was about to start mowing a crop.
"Since 2004, the GBG has released hundreds of chicks on #SalisburyPlain in Wiltshire.
"As a precaution, two volunteers used drones funded by the government-backed Farming in Protected Landscapes programme to check the field.
"The eggs were rescued under licence, incubated and hand-reared. The birds have since been released back onto nearby Salisbury Plain.
"The trust released a drone image of a bustard sitting on its nest, camouflaged amongst the tall crop.
" 'What it shows is the slow, but steady, expansion of the breeding range of the great bustard - and that the bustards had a good year last year,' said David Waters from the GBG.
"The bird has been Wiltshire's county emblem since Wiltshire Council was established in 2009.
"Speaking to BBC Radio Wiltshire, Waters said the UK population, which is all in Wiltshire, are doing well.
" 'The numbers are going up slowly. But in the rest of the world, many of the Great Bustard species are not doing well,' he added.

➡️ Vier Gebäude werden hier zusammen den Schriftzug HOME – auf Deutsch Zuhause – bilden. Die zu Grunde liegende Botschaft der vier Wohnhäuser: All die künftigen Bewohner*innen in ihrem gemeinsamen neuen Zuhause willkommen zu heißen. Zudem wird damit an die amerikanische Geschichte der FRANKLIN-Siedlung erinnert, gleichzeitig entsteht durch die skulpturale Architektur eine identitätsstiftende Skyline des jüngsten Mannheimer Stadtteils.
Oberbürgermeister Christian Specht und GBG-Geschäftsführer Karl-Heinz Frings lobten die architektonische Vision und betonten den Beitrag des Hochpunkts H zur Schaffung von attraktivem Wohnraum. Das Gebäude bietet 122 moderne Wohnungen, darunter Maisonettewohnungen und barrierefreie Einheiten – die Wohnungsgrößen reichen von 45 bis zu 120 Quadratmetern. ✅

Es ist ein buchstäblicher Höhepunkt im neuen Stadtteil #FRANKLIN in #Mannheim: Am 8. Juli wurde durch die @gbg_unternehmensgruppe der Hochpunkt H feierlich eröffnet. Er ist, nach dem E, der zweite Baustein für die spektakuläre neue Silhouette des Stadtteils.
➡️ Vier Gebäude werden hier zusammen den Schriftzug HOME – auf Deutsch Zuhause – bilden. Die zu Grunde liegende Botschaft der vier Wohnhäuser: All die künftigen Bewohner*innen in ihrem gemeinsamen neuen Zuhause willkommen zu heißen. Zudem wird damit an die amerikanische Geschichte der FRANKLIN-Siedlung erinnert, gleichzeitig entsteht durch die skulpturale Architektur eine identitätsstiftende Skyline des jüngsten Mannheimer Stadtteils.
Oberbürgermeister Christian Specht und GBG-Geschäftsführer Karl-Heinz Frings lobten die architektonische Vision und betonten den Beitrag des Hochpunkts H zur Schaffung von attraktivem Wohnraum.
