In 2019 my wife and I were binging Great British Bake Off and during a technical challenge she turned and said “you could make that.”
While I appreciated her confidence in me, it seemed daunting as I never attempted anything close to the recipe in my life.
But I had to try. And almost beat me the first time out.
It was our anniversary Tuesday and we’re having friends over tomorrow and so it seemed like a good time to make my wife’s favorite pastry, Kouign-Amann.
