  1. Their homes are standing graves… and their tents are shrouds.

These are the remains of their homes, and these are the tents they were forced to live in; not shelters that preserve human dignity, but hanging graves and temporary coffins awaiting collapse. They offer no protection from the summer heat, nor ward off the winter cold, nor withstand rain or wind. When the sky thunders, it trembles above the heads of our children, and when shelling rumbles nearby, it rains down upon them. Living in these tents has become a mass burial, lacking only the removal of the rubble.

What a mockery of this world! They call them “shelters,” yet they offer no refuge from fear.

They call them “temporary housing,” even though death within them may become permanent. And they speak of a “ceasefire” while the cracked houses and tattered tents continue to complete what the bombs began. In Gaza, they don't ask for the impossible, nor do they seek privileges. They demand a roof that won't kill them, a wall that won't bury their children, and a tent that won't turn into a shroud with the first rain or bombardment. Their message to the world is clear:

Don't just count the victims after homes collapse; save the living before they become new statistics. Open the crossings, let in construction materials and safe shelter supplies, and stop this ongoing genocide that pursues Palestinians even into their temporary graves.
We don't live in houses and tents…
We live in a long queue for a postponed burial, waiting only for the rubble to be cleared. #GazaUnderAttack
