I’ve heard tell of seaside towns having a Blessing of the Boats at the start of fishing season, and of farm communities having a Blessing of the Animals.

In our #gayborhood, just before Sunday’s #Pride #parade, Rev. Thomas ministered a #BlessingOfTheDragQueens at the #Dallas #CathedralOfHope.

Since the soles of my feet smolder on sacred ground, I can’t say whether incense was wafted into wigs, or holy water sprinkled on makeup cases, but this year’s #Drag was divine.

during #Snowpocalypse #2021.

My corner of the #Dallas #gayborhood has been powerless since Sunday evening. I’ve been #grilling, reading by a full #Liberace of candles while watching my breath indoors, and hanging out in our big-boy blanket fort.

Last night street lights came on; Hopefully homes are next; It’s supposed to get above #freezing tomorrow. I’ve enjoyed remembering my #BoyScout winter #camping skills, but now I’m ready for this #MadMaxOnIce situation to end.
