The Accidental Master trilogy concludes with “Master by Fate” by M.A. Innes #menage #PuppyPlay #MMRomace #GayBookReview
Cooper and Sawyer have moved in with Jackson, so now the accidental master has his two pups living with him full time. There are a lot of mundane things like chores and shopping to figure out for three working people living together, but it still leaves lots of time for the three to get to know each other better and build trust. Sawyer and Cooper have been on their own for a few years, so they also have to get used to having a loving family around. Cooper’s enthusiasm seems to conquer every challenge.

“The Seventh of December” by Garrick Jones is a spy thriller set during WWII. #MMRomace #GayBookReview
Australian Tommy is a world-class violinist and speaks several European languages fluently, but to support his ailing mother, Tommy and his fraternal twin brother Michael join the army. Both become involved in army intelligence, and by the time of the Battle of Britain, Tommy is a senior officer in the Special Operations Executive (SOE). At a rare evening out at a friend’s salon, Tommy is introduced to Henry, an American soldier attached to the U.S. Embassy as a military attaché. Although the Americans haven’t entered the war yet, most people know it’s only a matter of time, so Henry is there to learn as much as possible about Britain’s work with the resistance in France. The two men become very close and discover they both want the kind of relationship men like them rarely got in that age.

The No Same series concludes with “No Angel” by Nora Phoenix. #Kinky #MMRomace #GayBookReview
Indy, Noah, Josh and Conner are preparing for their wedding. On the surface, it’s a double wedding, with Noah and Indy pairing up alongside Josh and Conner, but it’s really a joining of all four men into a single family. That family also includes Miles and his two lovers, Brad and Charlie. It’s a big family with a lot of different kinks, but there’s no kink shaming allowed in this household. It’s almost too good to be true, which probably means the past is about to rear its ugly head.

Aidan’s father led a double life. He had another wife and son who lived in a big mansion in a posh neighborhood, while Aidan and his mother were the man’s dirty little secret with a modest house on the other side of town. They didn’t even know the man’s real name until Aidan’s mother found out and kicked him out. Things went downhill for Aidan and his mother after that. Now, Aidan is out for revenge. Monday’s review is for “Touch and GO” by Chris Quinton. #Crime #Thriller #MMRomace #GayBookReview
Boston police officer Jason is badly injured when the undercover operation he was involved in almost went sideways. Now, both of the crime families he helped take down are out for his blood before he can testify. Staying in the hospital, where he should be, makes him a sitting duck, so the FBI moves him into a safe house under the watchful eye of Special Agent Phil Harland. He should be safe, except it looks like there’s a mole in the police or the FBI, or both, and it turns out Phil is Jason’s old high school rival. The pair end up on the run, not sure who they can trust.

An extra #SaturdayShort review this week: “Nothing Left to Lose” by N.R. Walker. #MMRomace #GayBookReview
Brody and Miller have been best friends since high school. They remained so even after Miller came out. The two are often so close that people mistake them for boyfriends even though Brody is straight. The problem is that Miller has been in love with Brody almost since they met, and it has become torture to be around him. Sensing the distance Miller has started to put between them, Brody enters them in a contest for newlyweds, partly as a joke. The joke may be on Brody when they win the contest and have to spend a weekend in Las Vegas pretending to be a real gay couple. Will what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas?

Today’s book is a #fantasy based on Greek mythology - “A Veil of Gods and Kings” by Nicole Bailey. #MMRomace #GayBookReview
It’s Apollo’s fate to become the sun god, but he keeps putting off ascending. He doesn’t want to become a god, like his father Zeus, who demands offerings of sacrifice and food from humans who are starving, then wipes out entire villages on a whim. Zeus is becoming increasingly impatient with his half-human son. He gives Apollo an ultimatum: either he ascends now, or spends a year with the human Prince Hyacinth learning how a “good” son behaves. Apollo thinks the prince is like everything he hates about the gods. Hyacinth wears fancy robes and keeps a distance between himself and his people. It takes a while for the demi god to see that the prince, just like Apollo, wears a “veil” to hide his true self.

Today’s book review: “Bread Crumbs” by Kim Fielding. #MMRomace #GayBookReview
Johnny plays drums in a band with his two half-brothers and Zimri, who Johnny has been secretly in love with for years. The band appears to be about to enter the big time when their manager, Johnny’s stepmother, announces some changes. Johnny is out. He just isn’t cute enough for pop music, even though he writes most of the lyrics for the band’s songs. Zimri quits the band as well in protest and convinces Johnny they can make it on their own. They get a gig playing at a drag club a couple of nights a week, and Johnny takes a job in a grocery store to make ends meet. He actually finds he doesn’t miss the limelight, but he can’t resist the pull Zimri exerts on him. When Zimri finally lands a deal with a big-name agent, it seems the two men are on different paths, but they can never quite forget about each other.

Time for a little #Taboo #Kink - “The Chaos We Create” by KI Brightly and M.D. Gregory. #MMRomace #GayBookReview
Tate’s short temper has gotten him into trouble, and not for the first time. He’s arrested after getting into a brawl at a stop sign. Problem is, he was on his way home from a robbery at the time, so the police have him on that as well. Tate is surprised when he is released without charge on the orders of Ramsey, a man who says he was a friend of Tate’s late mother. Ramsey is the town’s boss. He controls most of what happens through legal and illegal businesses and the police. Ramsey is also Tate’s father, although he had nothing to do with the young man until he showed up back in town.

“Lost in the Woods” is the latest Polars Mystery by Crystal D. Budy. #Mystery #MMRomace #GayBookReview
Carter and Max continue their quest to pull down the Appalachian Order, a cult-like crime ring dealing in drugs, guns and human trafficking, which Max’s father is heavily involved in. The two also grow ever closer, but it’s difficult with Max’s erratic behavior resulting from the abuse he suffered as a child and with his husband. It doesn’t help that his ex keeps trying to re-insert himself into Max’s life. Further complicating things is Carter’s younger brother Joey, who escaped from the Appalachian Order but still has many demons to deal with, and neither Carter nor Max is really sure how to reach the young man.

Time for a slow burn #historical #MMRomace. “Heart of Stone” by Johannes T. Evans. #Vampires #GayBookReview
Vampire Henry is several hundred years old. Over the centuries, he has turned his hand to many things. Now, in the mid-eighteenth century, he is in publishing, but he needs a new personal secretary. His mind wanders too much to keep track of everything that needs to be done. Theophilus comes highly recommended, and Henry is instantly taken with the handsome yet reserved young man. Theophilus doesn’t know his employer is a vampire. He doesn’t even know they exist. The two men are almost polar opposites. Henry’s vivaciousness is countered by Theophilus’ stoicism. Yet the two are intensely attracted to one another. Unfortunately, in that time, and with their employer-employee relationship, neither believes they can act on their desires.
