"...And the Home of the Brave," Charles Demuth, 1931.
Demuth (1883-1935) was an American painter who developed the Precisionist style, which centered on reducing objects to their component shapes, but also still depicted them comprehensibly, as opposed to Cubism, which could be puzzling to the viewer.
Here he depicts a cigar factory in his native Lancaster, PA. This was late in his life, when diabetes was taking its toll on him, and there's a sense of irony here as the promise of American freedom is overwhelmed by industrialization.
An openly gay man, Demuth painted an eyebrow-raising self-portrait of himself, nude, with other nude men at a "Turkish bath." Make of it what you will. There is a museum dedicated to him in Lancaster; I need to get up there sometime soon.
From the Art Institute of Chicago.

"Matrosbalen," Eugène Jansson, 1912.
Jansson (1862-1915) was a Swedish painter, known mostly for his cityscapes nighttime scenes, and for his use of blue. After about 1904, though, he switched to figure painting, mostly male nudes. Jansson had suffered scarlet fever when he was young, and was left with various health problems; to combat them he worked out regularly at a naval bathhouse, where he met most of his models.
Here we have the athletic hall at the bathhouse (which was really closer to what we'd think of as a gym) decked out with signal flags for a Saturday night dance. The sailors are twirling their girls around, obviously having a good time.
Not much is known of Jansson's private world; his brother destroyed his letters and papers after his death at 53. It's largely agreed on now that he was probably gay and was having an affair with one of his frequent models. (Jansson's brother Adrien was definitely gay; homosexuality was illegal in Sweden until 1944, so the destruction of his letters could have been to protect his reputation.)
From the Maritime Museum, Stockholm.

We found this #artist through an image look-up search engine. For all of you who love posting people’s art without credit, and do the absolute least by putting “Unknown Artist” - it’s my fucking Christmas wish that you would do 5 minutes of research and start crediting the #artists with #links to their work so they can get fucking paid. The expletives are there for emphasis.

Found a new artist that I really dig. We are asking #CaducadoArt if his #DILFs in Space piece is available at all… but if not, I love this Bigfoot piece as my 2nd favorite for our bedroom wall.

A new #introduction on a new, sexy instance. Hungry #bottom with a plump ass and an unhealthy hunger for #bigdick, based in Paris but traveling.
Always in the lookout for hot #tops, but in the meantime enjoying all the eye candy. And a fond appreciation for all the #gayartists sharing their #art out there.
