Die Nordamerikaner sind der Wahrheit auf der Spur! Peter Thiel hat mit Aron D’Souza ein Start-up eingekauft: Objection (so viel wie: Einspruch). Die beiden kennen sich, Aron D’Souza hatte für Peter Thiel den Blog für Gaffer (Gawker) niedergeklagt. Das war ein Racheakt, Gawker hatte 2007 Peter Thiel als homosexuell geoutet. Mit seinem Geld und Einfluss hat er 2011 Gawker bei einem anderen Prozess komplett ruiniert und in der Insolvenz getrieben.
Wie könnte es besser passen, der findige Anwalt und der Tech-Feudalist Peter Thiel erschaffen ein Tribunal für Wahrheit (oder „AI Ministry of Truth“), natürlich mit künstlicher Intelligenz. Das ehrenwerte Ziel sei eine reformierte Medienlandschaft, in der (endlich) eine ausgewogene Berichterstattung einzieht. Er möchte – wie 2011 bei Gawker – Journalisten und Medienhäuser direkt zur Verantwortung ziehen. (Als kleiner Einschub: die Insolvenz von Gawker war nur darauf zurückzuführen, weil der Prozessgegenstand nicht versichert war.)
Wer zum Beispiel schreibt, Peter Thiel ist ein Lügner, der wird dafür zur Verantwortung gezogen. Wenn ich das beispielsweise hier schreiben würde, dann wäre der extradienst dran, Martin Böttger als Herausgeber müsste sich vor dem Tribunal für Wahrheit verantworten. (Kommentar Böttger: bis dahin bin ich entweder tot, oder bekomme meinen zweiten Infarkt, werde auf jeden Fall kein Held, sondern besiegt.)
Bevor dieses schlagkräftige Tribunal zuschlägt ist ein „Einspruch“ notwendig und eine Zahlung von 2000 US$ wird schon mal fällig. Der Weg dahin führt über die Seite „objection.ai“ zum Ziel. Begrüßt werden wir von zwei Augen, die allein schon einschüchternd wirken, sie signalisieren, hier wird Wahrheit erzeugt, ehrliche Wahrheit und nichts anderes als die Wahrheit.
Wir können eine Beschwerde gegen eine konkrete, überprüfbare Behauptung einlegen. Schon geht es alles seinen Gang der Dinge. In einem ersten Schritt werden professionelle Ermittler, das sind abgehalfterte ehemalige Agenten solcher Organisationen wie FBI oder CIA, eingeschaltet. Zusätzlich stehen auch Ermittler aus dem erlauchten Kreis militärischer Geheimdienste zur Verfügung.
Das gerechte Verfahren bietet dem Delinquenten im Anschluss die Möglichkeit, Beweise vorzulegen, seine eigene Darstellung zu verteidigen, sogar eidesstattliche Erklärungen sind möglich. Das wäre der Punkt, wo Martin Böttger mit hängenden Schultern stehen würde: „Ich habe gefehlt, ich bin ein schlechter Mensch, schlagt mich, aber haltet mir die Anwälte vom Hals!” (Kommentar Böttger: so weit wird es nicht kommen, jedenfalls nicht mit mir.)
Dann kommt es zum Showdown: Der ganze Sachverhalt wird der KI zur Beurteilung vorgelegt! Aber nicht eine KI, eine Jury besteht ja auch nicht aus einer Person, nicht, ein, nicht zwei oder gar drei KI-Systeme müssen bewerten, was vorgelegt wurde, sondern bis zu sieben KI-Modelle sorgen für eine objektiv absolut richtige Entscheidung, die da lauten kann: wahr, falsch oder unentschieden. Dieses Urteil des Tribunals wird anschließend mit einem Zertifikat dauerhaft veröffentlicht.
Um die öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit zu steigern und fortan dieses Urteil als Vertrauensbeleg (oder eben das Gegenteil) – wirkungsvoll wie im frühen Mittelalter – anzuprangern, gibt es einen Honor-Index, das ist nicht mehr oder wenige eine schwarze Liste für schwarze Schafe.
Um der gewünschten Wahrheit auf die Schliche zu helfen, gehen natürlich in die KI-Bewertung die völlig neutralen Ermittlungsergebnisse der Agenten ein.
Aber was ist schon Wahrheit, da haben sich Generationen von Philosophen und Mathematikern dran versucht. Für das Axiom, dass 1+1=2 ist finden wir bei Wikipedia, nach allerlei umfangreichen Beschreibungen: „Der Satz 1 + 1 = 2 ist ab und zu nützlich.“ – -praktisch oder bei den Philosophen die Erklärung von Aristoteles: „… wenn aber der Verstand Richtschnur und Maß der Dinge ist, besteht Wahrheit in der Übereinstimmung der Dinge mit dem Verstand; so sagt man, der Künstler verfertige ein wahres Kunstwerk, wenn es seiner Kunstvorstellung entspricht.“
Mit anderen Worten ist Wahrheit das, was ich sehen kann und gut finde. Wenn ich die KI beauftrage rauszufinden, dass im Dritten Reich gar nicht so viele Juden umgekommen sind, wird sie, die KI – mit dem richtigen Prompt – zwar die korrekte Zahl nennen, begründet meine freundliche Anfrage aber mit – gemessen an der Weltbevölkerung – als Minderheit im Promillebereich.
Mensch wie Maschine sind manipulierbar, der Unterschied ist nur, dass der Mensch die Maschine mit seiner eigenen Unzulänglichkeit füttert oder dem aktiven Willen zur Beeinflussung auf ein bestimmtes Ergebnis hin „berät”.
Wir mögen das wieder für eine blödsinnige Idee halten. Für Peter Thiel ist es nicht das erste Unternehmen, mit dem er Milliarden verdient. Sobald Donald Trumps Erbse mal wieder unkoordiniert rollt, wird er ein Ministerium für Wahrheit staatstragend in sein Regierungsgeschäft integrieren. EU-Politiker werden antreten müssen und begründen, warum wir bessere Autos bauen und deshalb die Nordamerikaner so gerne Porsche/Mercedes fahren – sie werden scheitern.
Ein Wahrheitstribunal ganz im Sinne der neuen Tech-Feudalisten. Für die ist Trump nur das Werkzeug, das hat sich bewährt und für üppigen Nachschub ist gesorgt.
Beschwert euch nicht, wir bekommen als Bonus auch das, was wir nicht bestellt haben – ob wir es brauchen oder nicht.
Ja, aber wir könnten doch …,
