Sometimes I wonder if other Hutts kinkshamed Jabba for his predilection for humanoid women. Like…he's a giant slug. You'd think the predominant measure of "sexiness" among Hutts would be more sluglike. And yet, here's this guy ogling these weird tiny gonochoric creatures with legs, externally visible sexual characteristics, dry skin, that produce very little mucus…it's all very odd. Was he a Hutt analogue of a furry (in the older, more denigrated primarily sexual sense, used here as an amusing analogue, and not the more modern sysadmins-risking-overheating-in-their-outfits sense)?

I had to terminate this invasive juvenile black slug. It's in an area that's part of an ongoing rewilding community, environmental project. We remove them from areas where we're trying to protect native slugs & native habitat. Taildropper slugs are a native slug species at threat here on Vancouver Island & it's important to do our best to protect their habitats.
Even though these are called black slugs, they have a wide colour range & most found here exhibit this brown colour, when young.
Black slugs can lay up to 150 eggs at a time. They reproduce very quickly, which causes their population to grow beyond manageable in a short time period, if left to breed.

A very accessible fossil! This bivalve (right) and gastropod shell impression (left) were found in Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park, just outside of Cochrane, AB.
These were found in a sandstone boulder from the Paskapoo Formation, dating from the early Palaeocene (right after the extinction of most of the dinosaurs).
