If the report is true, and I have every reason to beleive it is, then I strongly condem Labor (I am a party member) for it's manipulation of first people's views on gas extraction and the use of fossil fuel-based energy production in their community. Labor is guilty of misrepresentation of the grossest kind in order to shore up it's inane gas strategy. The quote is misleading enough to raise questions despite govt fustigations.
'.. the corporation’s quotes [used in the Govt report] are selected from its much longer submission on the strategy, which says: “The answer for the problems of energy security in our communities is not gas but solar energy which is free, plentiful and does not cause further damage to the climate. This is where we want governments to concentrate.”
Shame on Labour, shame, shame, shame.
