So, I looked at the results from the #Georgia US Senate runoff. A few things:
- Warnock won by ~3% & ~100K votes; this was larger than his election day lead which was 1% & ~38K votes.
- From the general to the runoff: Warnock dropped 130K votes, Walker (R) dropped 190K votes.
- The GOP attempts in GA to diminish turnout worked to an extent as there were 39% fewer voters in the 2022 US Senate runoff than in the 2021 US Senate runoff.Tags: #GASenRunoff #GASen

The #GOP problem is not that Herschel Walker lost. it is that 1.7M Georgians were willing to vote for a totally unqualified, totally unethical candidate.
While promoting mind-numbingly simple solutions to complex problems (or just ignoring the problems) might be appealing to some in the short-term, convincing your voters to turn themselves into idiots is not a great long-term strategy for capturing the battleground. The GOP's rush to self-immolation continues unabated.
