Orchids, paeonies & a bird hide on day #2 of the #Gargano tour.

We’re back in the #Gargano! "Thanks” to an air controllers strike this was day #1 only instead of #3. Today highlights were the Gargano endemism Ophrys montis-gargani, the South Italy endemism Ophrys apulica and gigantic Orchis purpurea overlooking the deep blue Adriatic Sea.

@juremes Thanks, I did #gargano few years back and it was beautiful (#peschici).
Now I'm targeting far south of the heel.
