Even more biscuit eating squirrel action / inaction. Let me add i'm not the one chucking biscuits away but they always seem to come to ours to eat them as if to taunt me with their access to free biscuits.

Anyway this furry rascal is living their best life.

Fox in the garden again last night.
And the chickens are fine. -
The slow worm (Anguis fragilis) is a legless lizard, often mistaken for a snake. Found throughout Europe, it favors damp habitats like meadows, forest edges, gardens, and compost heaps.

"No ears" the squirrel is not remotely afraid of me these days. Went outside to remonstrate the bushy tailed rat's consumption of nuts from the bird feeder and he just moved from hanging upside down and gorging on peanuts from the acorn shaped feeder wire feeder to the brick driveway and nearer too me, standing but almost shrugging, as if to say "hey what's a squirrel to do?" #GardenWildlife #squirrel

One of our spiky friends paid us another visit. He was making a horrendous mess of things 😅
Also, he got startled when I moved, so he sat still to assess the danger level. I reflexively said "sorry" which caused him to actually run away. Whoops. 🫣

Looks like we have a micro kangaroo in our garden 😀 🐭 Hedgehog spotted too which is super nice. Also rats, which isn’t as super nice but it’s a rural garden so 🤷🏻♀️. We stopped feeding the birds over the summer to minimise attracting them with easy food but they’re scoffing fallen apples along with a million blackbirds (slight exaggeration) #GardenWildlife

Enjoying a cold beer in the garden, and look who turns up to sip nectar!
#HummingbirdHawkMoth (Macroglossum stellatarum).
What a proboscis!

Yes! As we suspected, we have TWO hogs visiting. And here's photographic evidence, Mi'Lud.

"Build it and they will come" they say. Just 4 & a half months after our new garden was created, the #hedgehogs have arrived. 😍 We think we may have 2 visiting, but we can't be quite sure.
The hogs are entirely untroubled by our cats. Officer Dibble is shown in the final frame taste-testing the hogfood. Yum!

Good Morning. Beige blessings be upon you :bb:
#Today I had my morning coffee sat in my garden. Yesterday we moved the swing seat from a place where I felt overlooked, to a place where I can enjoy my morning cuppa without worrying about neighbours.
I have seen a blackbird getting worms, a few bees and the finches are having a good shout in the tree in a neighbours garden.
Yesterday we saw grasshoppers in the garden! Well, we heard them first, but then we found where they were. They were 'full of the joys of spring' if you know what I mean.
The one thing I don't have in my garden is a pond, but it is such a small garden that I am not sure I would have the space for it. Maybe I could get a solar powered water feature to sit on the decking? That might be worth looking into, and would hopefully help the local wildlife.
I am waiting for Husband to get back from his dad's this afternoon. Though I am considering walking down to Meeting as I haven't been in ages and I think it could help me feel more settled.
This has been post coffee thoughts with Petra.
How is your day looking?

I was cleaning up the garden hose when this little gangster just strolled past me and started eating. Like I wasn't even there.
What is it with the fearless animals in this garden? 😂

Twenty years of devotion to this place, weathering life's storms with our feet and our heads in the woods, creating a place and a garden with so much love, watching it grow and express itself freely, just like with our daughter Gaia.

New photos of Mama Bunz and her yearling, Cottontail, in my backyard, from early this morning. The quality is regrettable but I took these from the driver's seat of my car, before pulling away for work.

We have several caterpillars in our garden. One of them has somehow got half way up my kitchen window. Quite what it is doing there I have no idea!
We think they are cabbage white caterpillars as they are mostly on the garlic mustard plants - which are a long way from the window for a little caterpillar
