The new #pond and #BogBed are getting there!
Though they are in light shade from the house, the animals begin to find their way there.Especially with small ponds it's good practise NOT to let the vegetation from the sides, i.e. lawn, grow into it. (Yes, I mean you, #CharlieDimmock of #GardenRescue !)
Our first little pond was sucked empty by capillary action form the soil and plants surrounding it. No leakage in the liner.
A capillary break around the pond can prevent that. -

I've just applied for the next series of #GardenRescue to try and get my mum the dream garden she'd like.
She gave up a 130ft garden she'd developed over 50yrs at the old house. She's got a tiny one now... about 80sq/m in total of shitty red concrete paving, a couple of borders and 10sq/m bit of decking that's starting to rot and a13sq/m of conservatory eating into that 80sq/m
Cross your fingers for us... we could do with some good fortune for once.
