What I find really funny about how AI has managed to speed up the enshitification of the internet... is this.
SEO destroyed search, you simply can't find anything relevant because it's page after page of garbage unrelated to your search, and the top page is always AI garbage and ads.
So people started adding 'reddit' to their searches, to prioritise 'human' answers.
So AI companies, did a deal with reddit to scrape every single post to train their LLM's.
Except... reddit is 10% actual answers to questions and 90% shitposts.
So now your searches are basically AI answers quoting reddit shitposts as factual.
Use DuckDuckGo folks, install the app on your phone too, and turn on tracking protection whilst you're at it.

Sigh. I see that #AI is being touted to give nutritional advice. Given that most of the training data is false, this will be a case of #GarbageInGarbageOut. A marketing tool to deceive the public.

When you spent waaaaay too much time debugging and doubting your #multithreaded code because the output is garbled and you suspect a race condition or cross thread writes but it turns out the input data was broken to begin with, you just needed the multithreaded code to be able to parse it at all in a finite time-frame... 🤦
