Even Saint #Obama with his Nobel Peace Prize in the bag, spent Tuesday evenings choosing names from his drone-murder hitlist, jailed Chelsea Manning for whistleblowing, trashed Libya to grab oil, and smashed the protest at #StandingRock. #Clinton screwed #Haiti.

Murica varies the degree and visibility of its gangsters. But it never ever abandons #gangsterism.

Much as I enjoy legal anslyses by @davidallengreen, his liberal formalism is naive.

@ChrisMayLA6 rightly draws attention the flaws of "#fascism" as a label for the #Trump regime. The Bear's essay is a good read.

May's alternative of "#gangsterism" is v useful, drawing focus to the thuggery & avarice.

But for me, the most important label for Trump is #American, prefixed with a superlative such as hyper or ultra.

Trump takes core American values to the max: empire, colonisation, narcissism, big lies, greed, bullying, doublespeak. #HyperAmericanism is not new, just unveiled.

Proclaiming "freedom!" & calling yourself an anarchist, while being part of a roving gang looking for chances to physically attack & beat up people of other gangs--under whatever label or lack of label--is not being "free," save in the most retrograde sense; it also is not society, but its antithesis.
