🧬 Wie vielfältig ist die Gams im bayerischen Alpenraum – und wie gut sind ihre Lebensräume vernetzt?
Ein Forschungsteam der LWF untersuchte rund 2.900 Proben aus dem Alpenraum. Das Ergebnis: Zwei Hauptpopulationen westlich und östlich des Inns – insgesamt mit hoher genetischer Vielfalt und guter Vernetzung. 🏔️🐐

Can anyone point me to any tutorials/articles/reprexes for space-time #GAMs where the spatial dimension is raster data (as opposed to polygon centroids)? I *think* I know what I'm doing, but trying to do a sanity check before I really dive into the deep end of GAMs for this analysis. Looking for info about checking for spatial and temporal autocorrelation, how to set up interactions, etc. #rstats #rspatial

@AMP_OeAW depends on what you want to markup :) In #TEI you could well define a tei:surface, or a tei:object (for the page or leaf in the album/photo collection), or a tei:figure (within a tei:text)?
And either one file (or tei:TEI) for each photo so that each gets its own tei:teiHeader, or one large tei:TEI?
The #ZIM and #GAMS colleagues at @GrazVLDH would probably try to work this out in #LIDO … -

In den bayerischen Alpen gibt es Grund zur Freude: Die Population der Gämsen ist stabil. Das ergeben Zählungen, bei denen mehr Tiere als im Vorjahr gesichtet wurden. Aussagekräftige Zahlen werden erst 2025 erwartet.
Um das "Symboltier der Alpen" verbreitet sich eine positive Nachricht: In den bayerischen Alpen sind im vergangenen Jahr mehr Gämsen beobachtet worden. Offenbar ist ihre Population stabil, was die Bayerischen Staatsforsten freut.

If I want to fit a spline but constrain it to going through certain points (e.g., the start and end of an epicurve should be zero), what's the best way? I'm thinking of adding points to the data at the ends of the range with very high weights. Not sure what the consequences of that would be. #rstats
