  1. My friend Michał „Xtense” Stopa is open to new opportunities! He is an exceptionally talented Lead Narrative Designer and Senior Writer looking for his next adventure in #GameDev. 🎮 Michał combines creative brilliance (emotionally driving narratives & expansive worldbuilding) with strong technical skills (DevOps, Linux, scripting). A rare and highly valuable crossover for any development team!

If you have any leads or just want to expand your network, drop him a line!

  2. Information Control/Asymmetry - Controlling the attitudes and trends within the market. This is a major one I see all the time. Instead of allowing an environment of diverse views, they will try to control the opinions of the larger group.

This is a MAJOR issue. You cannot express any opinions that do not fall into very specific avenues. There is an army of people recruited that will outright ban or block any opinion not sanctioned.

  3. The things I worry about when it comes to the "Board Game Industry" are the classic market destroying things Capitalists do.

While there is no "regulatory" body for board gaming (so no "rent-seekng" or "regulatory-capture"), the market is still open for manipulation through various techniques.

Monopolization - Not a factor, as long as new game publishers are still viable businesses (see rent-seeking, regulatory-capture)

  4. Cloud gaming isn’t really chasing gamers anymore. It’s chasing everyone else. Smart TVs, instant access, and ad-supported play are reshaping who cloud gaming is for and why the living room matters more than ever. #cloudgaming #GamingIndustry #SmartTV #GamingTrends

  5. 💸 Navigating the Indie Game Funding Landscape in 2025 🎮✨

The indie game scene in 2025 stands at a crossroads. Following massive industry layoffs and a tightening of traditional funding avenues, developers are exploring alternative paths to bring their creative visions to life.

Crowdfunding has seen a resurgence, with platforms like Kickstarter reporting a 28% increase in successful video game projects in 2024. Notably, the indie RPG Crescent County surpassed its $60,000 goal in under 24 hours after facing over 50 publisher rejections, highlighting the power of community support.

Developers are also turning to microfunds, government grants, and forming alliances with indie-friendly publishers. Initiatives like Pocketpair Publishing and Innersloth's Outersloth are examples of successful studios supporting fellow indie developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual support.

Explore how indie creators are adapting and thriving in this evolving funding landscape:
