Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach
Donkey Kong Bananza

I think Hades II misses out because of the way Silksong took the internet by storm. Blue Prince misses out because for ever one person that thought it was a revelation, there was three people who soured on the game after playing a not-i significant amount of time with it.

These aren't my five favourite games of the year btw, just the ones I think most likely to make the shortlist for the absolute-totally-official-goty.

This year’s The Game Award is frustrating. Feels like it all being political, corrupted or something else. Or maybe I grow too much of an outsider. Not a single nominee is even interesting to me. But I will try Balatro.
