I've just bought it and one book in particular has attracted my attention because it weighs 1 Go. It's a book compiling maps from NES games, some from the 1980s, some from today. They are taken from manuals, guides, or made by independant artists.

IRL, I'm an #archaeologist and #GIS analyst. So I spend a lot of time looking at and working with #maps.

But I've also employed GIS in #gaming. Here I've created a hex grid over a land-use map of a lakeside subdivision near my home. I then used that as a basis for creating "Lakeside Subdivision", a map you can find in the #opensource computer version of #BattleTech, #MegaMek.
