Except the CEO of course. They aren't "everyone". But they get paid the most.

Capitalism turned to maximum with everything being owned by a handful of businesses.Time to form small indie teams and cut AAA out of the equation. Big budget games and burning people out making them is not sustainable.
Nothing will change as long as people participate in their rigged system.

Nice to see 80 Level doing a survey on Work Culture in #gamedev, but a little disappointed there were no references to trade unions or similar even from a neutral standpoint.
Unions protect workers from burnout, harassment, overwork, low pay, lack of benefits, and can help highlight career progression & pay transparency. The fact our industry is so far behind others in this regard goes hand in hand with why we have so many issues in our industry.
