Was fiddling with the Final Fantasy 7 Remake thread and Remembered that I meant to tell y'all that I resolved the bluetooth controller problem I was having with my RG353V Game Dad, by buying a $30 controller rather than a $15 controller.

8bitdo Ultimate 2C, the one that's thirty bucks and can do both Bluetooth and 2.4ghz through a USB dongle. The USB dongler stays in the downstairs computer, and the bluetooth is paired to my #gameDad, and there's a toggle switch on the back and I can just move the same controller upstairs for the retro games on CRT or downstairs for the new games on projector.

It's a good controller, it feels fine, everything's snappy, tolerances are spot-on, it's just the right amount of heavy, it's cheapish and the battery lasts for absolutely ages. My only complaint is that there's a fuck-off bright white LED in the home button that you can't turn off, but I just stuck some electrical tape over it. One day I'll open it up and put Rubylith over the actual LEDs but I'm lazy.

Oh and my other complaint with this company is that they do nine thousand almost-but-not-quite identical controllers with almost-but-not-quite identical names, so once again that's the 8bitdo ultimate 2c wireless, not the ultimate 2, I haven't tried that one 'cause it's double the money and the $30 one is fine
