CW: iepol, galway west by-election, independent ireland
Just skimmed through Independent Ireland's (Basically Irish Reform, perhaps not quite as far right, but definitely more right wing than their claimed "centre right") manifesto as we have a by-election coming up soon. Wishy-washy populist rubbish, anti LGBTQ dog whistles and claims they can "run things cheaper". They also appear to advocate for an Irish DOGE - these people are advocating Trumpism IMHO.

It tends to say something about people if they own shares full stop, never mind shares in companies with ethical concerns attached.

Estimated turnout looks set to be a record low, at 30–40%. It was 44% in 2018, 56% in 2011, 48% in 1997, and 64% in 1990.Even in #CatherineConnolly's own constituency of #GalwayWest, only 5 of 22 polling stations reported turnout of 50% or more.

In Galway West a vote for Maisie McMaster No. 1 is the strongest message you can send that you want a Left government instead.
