Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold also enters One UI 8.5 beta testing in China

Samsung released the Galaxy Z TriFold foldable last year, and it was so impressive that it got sold out quickly multiple times, even after multiple restocking. While this device was an example of how innovation makes new, smart ideas, we are saddened to hear that the Galaxy Z TriFold sales have ended.

However, alongside the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S24 FE/S25 FE, and the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip6, something unexpected happened.

Samsung has been reportedly testing the Galaxy Z TriFold’s One UI 8.5 beta version for the Chinese units, as spotted by Mohammed Khatri, with build F9680ZCU3ZZCB/F9680CHC3ZZCB/F9680ZCU3BZB5.

This sets out a new development for the One UI 8.5 software, which means that the tri-folding device will soon enter the Beta Program, at least in China.

Today has already been a big day for those who are owning all the mentioned devices for the One UI 8.5 beta program. This means that the stable rollout of One UI 8.5 may not start until April or May, should testing reveal positive results.
