  1. Samsung Display says the Galaxy Z Fold7’s inner screen remained fully functional after 500,000 folds in a 13-day test at 77°F.

The company equates that to more than 10 years at about 100 folds a day.

But the test covered the screen only—not the hinge, flexible cables or other phone components.

The article also describes a user’s nearly three years with a heavily used Galaxy Z Fold4 and a Galaxy Z Fold6…

  2. Global rollout of One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy Z7 foldables is underway!

The Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 phones are also getting the One UI 9.0 update, which is based on Android 17, globally. It brings an improved experience for your Galaxy phone by introducing new features and other enhancements, including the new Galaxy AI features that first landed to the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, and Flip8 series.

Samsung has started the global distribution to the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7, with more eligible devices being expected to receive the stable update during the next few weeks. Please note that the update may not have reached your phone and/or your country yet, so you’ll have to be patient while the update reaches your device. You can identify the update with a build number ending in CZIH.

To install One UI 9.0, navigate to your system settings > Software update > Check for updates > Download and install. If you still see “Your software is up to date”, your phone may not have received the update yet.

Always install the software update when the battery is charged. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems may occur later. There is no need for you to wipe your phone’s cache after the software update. Please note that the download may take 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your internet connection.

  3. Samsung warns that cards, coins and keys trapped between the sides of a foldable Galaxy can damage its inner screen when the phone closes.

Dust and sand can also get inside.

Check before closing, keep the factory-fitted screen film in place, and clean the screen with a soft cloth rather than pressing or scraping it.

Manufacturers test some screens and hinges for 200,000–500,000 folds, but those figures do not guaran…

  13. Galaxy A57 series One UI 9.0 beta forums spotted!

One UI 9.0 is an incremental version of One UI that brings subtle improvements over One UI 8.5, alongside an upgrade to Android 17 and various new features that make you more productive. The Galaxy S26 series, which is released this year, is currently being tested for the One UI 9.0 beta program, with the fourth beta as the current version being tested.

While the Galaxy S26 series is still being tested, and the expansion of the beta program is being worked on, the Beta forums for the Galaxy A57 phone has been revealed, according to Mohammed Khatri.

This means that there’s a high chance that the Galaxy A57 will have its first beta of One UI 9.0 being released soon, but there is no confirmed date as to when the beta program will actually start. The beta program hasn’t been expanded to more Galaxy devices, such as the Galaxy S25, S24, Z Fold/Flip 7, and A57, as of now, but we’ll let you know when further Galaxy devices receive the beta.

We expect that Samsung officially announce the first beta of One UI 9.0 for the eligible Galaxy devices soon, with the possibility that more devices may join the beta program before the stable release.

  14. Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 7 series One UI 9.0 beta forums and builds spotted!

While the Galaxy S26 series is still being tested, the Beta forums for the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 devices has been revealed shortly before being removed, according to a report via Sammy Guru.

This means that there’s a high chance that those foldables will have their first beta of One UI 9.0 being released soon, but there is no confirmed date as to when the beta program for the foldables will actually start.

Also, further indication that Samsung was working on One UI 9.0 Beta for the Fold7 and the Flip7 foldables has been made, because beta builds for the foldables have been spotted, as Fahad on X mentioned that builds F966BXXUCZZH4 and F766BXXUCZZH4 have been discovered.

We expect that Samsung officially announce the first beta of One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 foldables soon, with the possibility that more devices may join the beta program before the stable release.

    • Komunikacja: udoskonalone narzędzia tłumaczenia i edycji tekstu w czasie rzeczywistym.
