In the children’s sermon today, talking about #Galatians 5:1,13-25, the children and youth director asked “If you saw a fruit tree and didn’t know what kind of fruit it would bear, how could you figure out what kind of fruit tree it is?” Nine-year-old answers “You could take a picture of it and then use Google lens.” “Good answer, but not the one I was looking for.” Later, she asked what kind of fruit people bear, and he answered “babies!” #RCL

Human beings have nothing within themselves to boast about. Nothing of theirs can recommend them to God. Christ’s sacrifice contains all their reasons for boasting ─ this is what occupies them and fills their conversations.
