The Suneater is a living-plasma based weapon created by an offshoot of the same race which created the Green Lantern Corps. Galactose (Fantastic Four #48 (March 1966) (sauce Wiki)
Galactose (/ɡəˈlæktoʊs/, galacto- + -ose, sometimes abbreviated Gal), is a common monosaccharide, i.e. a simple sugar. It is classified as a reducing hexose, more specifically an aldohexose. In terms of structure, it is a C-4 epimer of glucose. A white, water-soluble solid, it is about 80–90% as sweet as glucose and about 65% as sweet as sucrose.
With its intention (to cause everyone in the Universe to get Diabetes!), Galactose is accompanied by the SilverSpoon on his journey through the Universe and often visits his doctor in Manhattan on the planet Earth (very reasonable insurance plan).
