Löysin viikonloppuna ihan muuta etsiessä vuosia sitten joululahjaksi saadun Battlestar Galactica - Original series bluray-boksin. Sitä tuli aikanaan telkkarista tapitettua silmät suurina, vaikka siinä olikin sen ikäisen mielestä ihan liikaa tylsää puhetta 😆 Voimakkaita muistikuvia oli kuitenkin jäänyt, cylonien "silmien" liike (joka sitten vielä K.I.T.T:iinkin on kopioitu), hävittäjien turbo ja fire -nappulat sun muut. Lahjapaketti oli täysi yllätys, mutta hautautui jonnekin kaapin perälle kun en kertakaikkiaan uskaltanut katsoa. Oli nimittäin aika voimakas epäilys että tämä ei ole kestänyt aikaa.
Nyt sitten uteliaisuus kuitenkin voitti. Eilen katsoin pilottijakson, joka tuntui ihan loputtoman pitkältä. No se olikin kolmen jakson mittaininen - se siis oikeasti OLI pitkä, eikä vain sen tuntuinen 😄
Melkoinen nostalgiatrippi kyllä, "ai toi musa oli tästä", ai niin noi, ja se, tämä ja tuo! Ja sitten toisaalta kaikki se läppä mikä oli muksuna mennyt ihan täysin ohi. "Sosialaattori on yli 4000v vanha, täysin kunniallinen ammatti!" 😏 70-lukulaiset tehosteet on mitä on, mutta itseäni oikeastaan viehättää se asioiden analogisuus - viimeistä huutoa olevien Viper-hävittäjien ohjauspaneeli on täynnä metallisia keinukytkimiä joista asioita laitetaan päälle ja pois eikä mitään helvetin kosketusnäyttöjen hiplaamista. Kunnollista! Epäilyttävästi oskilloskooppia muistuttavat viher-musta-monitorit erilaisina grafiikkanäyttöinä. Yms.
Äsken kattelin seuraavat kaksi jaksoa kun oli jatkotarina. Kun päällimmäinen nostalgiahyöky meni pilottijaksossa ohi niin voi hyvä helvetti että ainakin tämän toisen jakson käsikirjoitus oli HUONO 🤣 Jos joku sattuu muistamaan niin olis mielenkiintoista tietää että paraneeko se tuosta alkukompuroinnin jälkeen vai oliko se noin päätöntä ja epäloogista kohkaamista koko sarja? Varmaan nyt ainakin muutama jakso täytyy vielä katsoa, mutta jos meno on tuommoista niin ei tuota kyllä selvinpäin kestä 😆
Tämän tiimoilta törmäsin kyllä sitten myös uudestaan siihen tietoon että Galactican seikkailuistahan on tehty uusi versio joka ilmeisesti on jopa ihan kehuttu. Muistan asiasta jonkun uutisen nähneeni aikanaan mutta oli muuta kiirettä elämässä, nyt heräsi kiinnostus: jos tästä modernimpi, oikeasti hyvä versio olemassa niin 😋 Sarjan perusidea kun sattuu olemaan toinen mun lempitarinoista scifissä: ensimmäinen on se että ihmiskunta on lähdössä maapallolta ensimmäistä kertaa, ja se toinen on että ollaan niin kaukana tulevaisuudessa että Maa on hukkunut historiaan ja sitä koitetaan etsiä.

Löysin viikonloppuna ihan muuta etsiessä vuosia sitten joululahjaksi saadun Battlestar Galactica - Original series bluray-boksin. Sitä tuli aikanaan telkkarista tapitettua silmät suurina, vaikka siinä olikin sen ikäisen mielestä ihan liikaa tylsää puhetta 😆 Voimakkaita muistikuvia oli kuitenkin jäänyt, cylonien "silmien" liike (joka sitten vielä K.I.T.T:iinkin on kopioitu), hävittäjien turbo ja fire -nappulat sun muut. Lahjapaketti oli täysi yllätys, mutta hautautui jonnekin kaapin perälle kun en kertakaikkiaan uskaltanut katsoa. Oli nimittäin aika voimakas epäilys että tämä ei ole kestänyt aikaa.
Nyt sitten uteliaisuus kuitenkin voitti. Eilen katsoin pilottijakson, joka tuntui ihan loputtoman pitkältä. No se olikin kolmen jakson mittaininen - se siis oikeasti OLI pitkä, eikä vain sen tuntuinen 😄
Melkoinen nostalgiatrippi kyllä, "ai toi musa oli tästä", ai niin noi, ja se, tämä ja tuo! Ja sitten toisaalta kaikki se läppä mikä oli muksuna mennyt ihan täysin ohi. "Sosialaattori on yli 4000v vanha, täysin kunniallinen ammatti!" 😏 70-lukulaiset tehosteet on mitä on, mutta itseäni oikeastaan viehättää se asioiden analogisuus - viimeistä huutoa olevien Viper-hävittäjien ohjauspaneeli on täynnä metallisia keinukytkimiä joista asioita laitetaan päälle ja pois eikä mitään helvetin kosketusnäyttöjen hiplaamista. Kunnollista! Epäilyttävästi oskilloskooppia muistuttavat viher-musta-monitorit erilaisina grafiikkanäyttöinä. Yms.
Äsken kattelin seuraavat kaksi jaksoa kun oli jatkotarina. Kun päällimmäinen nostalgiahyöky meni pilottijaksossa ohi niin voi hyvä helvetti että ainakin tämän toisen jakson käsikirjoitus oli HUONO 🤣 Jos joku sattuu muistamaan niin olis mielenkiintoista tietää että paraneeko se tuosta alkukompuroinnin jälkeen vai oliko se noin päätöntä ja epäloogista kohkaamista koko sarja?
